The first of these, San Ramon 94583, covers the west side of San Ramon where most of the older developments are situated. This is what would generally be thought of as the center of San Ramon as it spans highway 680 and has numerous shopping centers.

San Ramon Real Estate - Neighborhoods 1San Ramon 94582 is the newer zip code and although some of the developments there hark back to the 1980s, it also contains the largest neighborhoods in San Ramon – Canyon Lakes, Gale Ranch and Windemere.

Where To Live in San Ramon

San Ramon real estate options are extremely varied and there are really no bad neighborhoods here.

If you like more traditional homes, perhaps with a nice size back yard, you will probably gravitate towards the older developments on the west side. If your ideal home is a large modern home with high ceilings and a fairly small yard, the newer neighborhoods on the east side may be more to your liking. 

Having said that, though, there are some substantial newer homes on the west side as well, notably in Norris Canyon Estates.
